Millika at Cross Country Grass Relays at American Fork HS

Today Millika was at another meet/race with the Cross Country Team from Wood Cross High School. This race will probably be the "funnest" race of the season. They were to run a relay with 5 people on each team and it was on grass and there were hay bales they had to jump over :o)

Millika ran on the Varsity Team again. The race was 2 miles long (3,2 km). She ran the 2nd leg of the relay, and when she took over they were in 20th place. When she pass the baton onto the 3rd runner , the team was in 14th place! There were 30+ Varsity Teams and Woods Cross took 11 place. Every runner on their team ran faster this year than the FASTEST time on the last year's team. 

Millika was #1 from Woods Cross in time. She beat her team mate # 2 with 20 sec in her time.  She ran the 2 miles in 13 min 9 sec with the jumping over hay bales :o) So all in all they did good as a team.

Their Varsity Team made "a pact" that their team at the end of the season will be in the top with the best times at least as individuals because it is ALWAYS the same schools/girls that are in the top 5 in the individual times. We will have to see how that goes!!

Millika ran wonderful again. She took 1st place on her team and they came in 11th out of 30+ teams. Not bad at all and much better than last year's team!! Way to go girls!!
