Woods Cross Debate team's Christmas fun party at oour home!

Because McKay is the debate team president for Woods Cross High School we were asked to have their Christmas Party at our home. I like to have the friends of our kids come to our home because I get to know them all better. So I helped a little and put some food together and they brought a lot too.

The team were having LOTS of fun with the white elephant game.

And the FAVORITE white elephant gift was this one. A picture of McKay. Another team member had made this and it was the BIGGEST hit for sure :o) A wonderful night with a really good team! So glad to have them in our home!

Temple Square lights :o)

It was time for the yearly trip to Temple Square and see all the beautiful lights. It is always a highlight of the Christmas season. We have been able to share it with Mormor and Morfar more than once so a delight for them too :o)

This is one of the candy windows at Macey's So fun and very impressive.

There are so many lights and they are ALL unbelievable !! 

Beautiful as always. I will NEVER be tired of seeing a picture like this with the lights, the temple and BEST of all MY parents :o)

And of course a little treat after the LONG walk to see the lights. Ice cream is never too much and always room in our tummies for that :o)

Early Christmas with Mormor and Morfar!

We opened our Christmas gifts early this year so we could do it with Mormor and Morfar. Here are a few pictures of our great night together!!

Family Sunday Dinner

Almost every Sunday with have Grandma and Grandpa up for dinner and we LOVE it. We love it even MORE when Mormor and Morfar are here too. A few fun pictures of a normal Sunday at the Holbrook home :o)

Antelope Island our trip we always take when Mormor and Morfar are here!

Every time Mormor and Morfar are here we have to take a trip to Antelope Island. It is a tradition and always so fun! Here are some of the animals we saw on the latest trip out there!

 This was right when we were driving to the Island. A coyote fun to one of them! He was headed for the main land :o)

 Rabbits so cute and fun to watch!

 And of course Buffalo lot of them. This one was pretty close to the car!

 And our porcupine was there too in the same tree as we saw him last year. I wonder if he knew we were coming today :o)

 AND we saw at least 50 Antelope not even kidding. It was AWESOME and very neat!!

So a VERY successful trip today and as fun as always!!

Mika's end of semester jury for her voice lessons

After every semester at the University of Utah's Music School Mika has to go up and preform a song or to in front of a jury. It is like a final exam for the semester. Mormor, Morfar and I have been very blessed to have been able to see 2 of these and they are always inspiring and very beautiful. It is Mika singing SOLO and we love that :o)

 Mika on stage singing and doing a beautiful job! She is just so AWESOME!!!

Mika gets a HUGE hug from her very BEST friend Whitney after her exam. It is great to have friends :o) And that is what friends are for supporting you in the time of need.

Advent from Mormor and Morfar December 2012

Like every year Mormor and Morfar give the kids advent calendar gifts and here is just one of the four Sundays!!

Mika and the U of U Chamber Artists Christmas Concert at Libby Gardner Music Hall

We went and heard the most beautiful concert at Libby Gardner Music Hall with Mika in the U of U Chamber Artists. It was their Christmas Concert for the year and it was AWESOME!! The spirit of the season was there and it was a wonderful night . The ONLY thing we would have like more was to hear more of Mika as a soloist :o)

 This is the choir with the orchestra for the University of Utah. Mika is in the middle and if you click on it you should be able to see a bigger picture :o)

Debate Tournament at Woods Cross High School

It was Woods Cross High School turn to host a BIG debate event and I was asked to help with the food. It was fun to see McKay and Millika in action and to get to know the debate team a little better.

Millika and her debate partner Hans took 2nd place in the Public Forum event! She had a great time at this tournament and very good going winner at home which is never easy.

Mckay at Caesar & Cicero debate tournament !

McKay went to another BIG debate tournament last weekend at Caesar & Cicero. He took 4th in Expository and 1st - Champs in Public Forum with Sarah.
