Forth Sunday in Advent!

McKay got a Viking Book and stamps.

McKay got his BROWN Belt in Kenpo Karate!

It has taken a lot of effort and many hours but McKay is there. He got his Brown Belt.

Very Serious and Focused! 2 1/2 hours of testing was hard but McKay is tough and did great!

And I did get a smile in the end. We are so proud of you Buddy. You are AWESOME!!

Here the kids at the school were singing to the Madrigals. Two of Mika's cousins go to school and the kids she is a Nanny for goes there also. So she got lots of HUGS and Loving ;o)

Third Sunday in Advent!

Today it was the 3rd Sunday in Advent and here are some pictures from our family time.

 Mika got a Music Box and it was a snowman:o)

Lincoln does not like dogs, I guess Lulu forgot she was one!!

Elves Christmas Show with the Girls!

We had to get this for Daddy. He LOVES anything that has to do with Apple/Mac and here was a family of apples. You can not be a more "Mac lover" than this:o)

Second Sunday Advent gift!

McKay was sick today. He got a shadow Box with get memories.

First Sunday in Advent!

The kids got their FIRST Advent Calendar gift from Mormor & Morfar today and they loved them :o)

Lulu is bowing for us all the time and she is just so CUTE!!

First BIG Snowstorm of the season!

Looks like it could be a LONG and very WHITE winter season. We got tons of snow last night! Millika took this beautiful picture. It does look great when you do NOT have to get out into it:o)

Millika made it to District in the Reflection Contest!!

Once a year the public schools in the US sponsors a” Reflection Contest” where the students can choose to show of their talents. There are different categories such as 3D, Dance, Visual Arts, Film/Video, Photography, Literature, Music Composition and Theater. The theme for this year is "Together we can".
Millika chose to enter for the first time this year in the Visual Arts category.  She had painted in watercolors a beautiful Nature Scene of Quacking Aspens.  Her title is” Together we can save the trees” Genius :o)!
Well, she came home today and told us that she has made it to the District level. She was chosen to represent South Davis Junior High in the Visual Arts Category.  She got a certificate, candy and a $10 gift card to an ice cream place.  She will now compete with ALL the schools from the Davis School District! WAY TO GO MILLE!!

First term over for the Kids in School!

Okay, so we are already done with the first term (out of four) for this school year. I can not believe how fast time flies by. All three kids have done great with grades that are almost perfect. But I also "tease" them and say that we can not have anything less than a 4.0 in grade point :o) (Svarer til 12 i gennemsnit i Danmark)! They are all three working hard and that is what is most important! Off to second term and many more things to learn.

McKay at Debate Contest at East High School.

This ended up being a special Contest for McKay because he did not compete as a "Novice"(level 1)! His teacher Mrs. Gregg told him that he would take First place too easy again if he competed at Novice level so she wanted him to compete as a JV (Junior Varsity = level 2). Well they get there and there is no JV groups so he could either do Novice or Varsity (level 3) the highest in High School. So where do you think he ended up ? Varsity of course:o)

And yes he placed!  He took home 3rd place which is not heard of by such a new "debater". But we are talking about McKay as you know :o)!  His teacher is just so pleased with him and I am sure he has a great future in her classes:o)

 Concert Choir!

The first real concert of the year with Woods Cross 6 Choirs. Here Mika sang in 13 of the 25 songs because she is in the two best choirs! They did great and she looked like she had lots of fun ;o)! But you know how she loves to sing. Everywhere she goes is with a song!

Sick kids!!

Okay, so I have had sick kids or should I say Teenagers. First Mika on Saturday and today it was McKay's turn. Now we are just waiting for Millika to get it too and of course Lincoln and me ;o). Oh well, I am hoping to not get it this time but only time will tell if I get my wish!
Yep, Millika got it too and she kept it for longer than the 2 others. Lucky me I had 3 sick kids at 3 different times :o)

McKay went to yet another Debate contest and YES... He took First place again. He just rocks the house in Debate and he loves it!

Mika sang on Temple Square in the Tabernacle with 632 other Youth's. It was the ALL-STATE choir. And let me tell you it was beautiful!

McKay went to his second Debate Competition  and he did not have a chance to speak. But he was the"chair" and the Judges liked him so much that he still took 2nd place in his group. There were a lot of Schools at this Event. McKay had 46 students in his "House" ( group).

Entering the Blogger world!

Okay, I am not sure how this works really but I am learning. Really I am making a Blog for the Young Women in our ward and it is enough to have me motivated to get started again on our family blog. Yes I started a few ;o) months ago and never really did anything with it. But now I am going to try and get it done. We will see how long it lasts!
