McKay won the State Martin Luther King Jr. Essay contest for all the High Schools in Utah
He wrote an essay based on a quote from
Martin Luther King Jr. and of all the High School Students that entered
in Utah he won the Grand Price. It was $100 check and a $300 Youth
Leadership Camp this summer. There were a total of 645 essays so not a small task to beat them all! Fun to see him excel in different parts of
life!
