Young Lawyers 2012 Debate Tournament

Millika and McKay went to a HUGE debate Tournament today at Highland High School and there were some of the BEST teams in the State. Many of these team have personal coaches and train for 3 hours a day debating.

Well, McKay did not have a great debate day but some times things like that happen. He is an awesome debater it was just not his day to win.

But Millika and Hans did wonderful. They got a record of 7 wins and 1 loss and went all the way to the Finals and won the whole thing. They took the FIRST place ;o)

It was so HARD to get a Picture of it but here is the best I colud get.

This is the FIRST time Woods Cross have gone to this tournament because the competition is so hard.  The teams that meet here have way more "funding/money" for their debate teams and that makes it easier to get more help and teachers. 

Most of the teams Millika and Hans went up against were from 5A schools and they have a lot BIGGER Debate teams than Woods Cross. So all in all a WONDERFUL win for our school and Millika and Hans ;o)
