THE REAL July 4th :o)

Today we did not see fireworks but we did go for a wonderful drive again. We were going to go up to Causey Dam and other places up there!

 

Causey Dam is so pretty! There were so MANY people up there because of the holiday but it was still fun to go.

 

 This little waterfall was a place we had been before. We went there 3 years ago with the kids and we just wanted to go back and revisit a memory and it was still very pretty!

 

 We stopped by a monk monastery and here is the church. We went inside and heard them chant and that was interesting!

 Mormor and Lincoln looking at is all waitng for Morfar :o)

We also stopped in Huntsville and had a lunch and saw a little fair. A great day together as always!!

Celebrating July 4th on July 3rd :O)

Here in the Eaglewood Cove we always have BIG fireworks and fun stuff to celebrate the 4th of July. So today we did just that but time time Mormor and Morfar had a chance to do it with us :o)

 

At first the family went to 4 DI's and NO I did not go :o)

 This is the yearly Car show on the part of the Golf Course we live 1 min from. You can almost see out house in this pictures. A lot of people and a lot of cars!!

 Here are a few pictures of the 18 minutes fireworks show. It is SO PRETTY and get better every year!!

At the Bird Refuge

Today we went to the bird refuge and as always it is very fun to drive the route and see all the birds. Last time we were there we saw TONS of Pelicans so we were hoping for something great this time too :o)

 YES we saw Pelicans again this time and MANY of them too

 UP CLOSE and personal. Not bad picture at all Mormor!!

 But the REAL treat for us this time was that we saw vultures about 12 of them and they were feasting on a lot of dead carp. Very rare to see and as always we were spoiled and saw something fun!

On the way home we stopped at "Golden Spike" Restaurant, Morfar and Mormor had been there before with Grandma and Grandpa. We had a WONDERFUL burger and it was WAY to BIG to eat all of it!! AND it tasted so GOOD ;o)

It was as always a great trip out there and we saw so many fun and interesting birds!!

I wanted some more pictures from Temple Square so we dressed up again and went down there one more time as a family :o)

 

 I Just LOVE this picture of McKay with his scriptures. He is so Handsome and so ready to serve the Lord! 

Morfar is telling us about the MANY flowers on Temple Square. It is so beautiful!

 McKay has his "Preach My Gospel" in Danish. He is a Viking for sure!

Morfar and McKay together they are a PAIR for sure :o)

Family fun at home

We were home today and we had some fun. Here you can see what we did today!

 

Morfar taking care of our lawn and yard. He is VERY good at it :o)

 

Mika was flying her kite and she finally got it up :o)

 Mika hit the back of the stop sign. Can Morfar do it too ????

 He is trying hard but I am not sure he made it. But really that does not matter. They had a great time together and that is what counts!!

A fun day at home before pictures and ice cream on Temple Square!

Drive with Mormor and Morfar ro Mirror Lake and more

Today we took a longer drive with Mormor and Morfar. Lincoln wanted to go and see Mirror Lake and a few other places. So we got some good snacks and lots of water and then on we went!

 On the way out on our trip we stopped a little pasted Park City and we looked at this lake. Very beautiful!

 We had to stop and take a picture of this mailbox. It is a PIG with a devil riding it, too FUNNY!

 

 By Mirror Lake we saw this sign. BEAR COUNTRY!!! WE did not see any bears but they are there !!

 

 We drove even higher up and LOOK there was SNOW on the mountains. We could touch it if we wanted too :o)

 

 We drove home through Wyoming and we had to take pictures of the signs!

 

 And Utah's sign.... Of course it has snow on it and skiing. Also see that we were VERY high up even though you can not see it at all.

It was a great drive and a wonderful day together with Mormor and Morfar!!!

Capital in Salt Lake City!

Mormor, Morfar, McKay, Grand and Grandpa went to Salt Lake City and saw some really cool things.

First they went to the Utah State Capital and it was very fun they told us. We will have to go and see it later with London's Dad that is one of the Utah State Senators :o)

A lot of famous movies are filmed in Utah. Here is a display about them! Grandpa and Grandma are there too.

 

Here they are looking at a replica of the Liberty Bell. Morfar and McKay had to touch of course :o)

 

 Outside the Capital it is also very beautiful!

 It had been a LONG FUN day. Morfar and McKay sat down and talked a little and before they knew it they were both taking a little nap :o)

Grandma and Grandpa were great guides as always and they all had a great time together!!
