Footlocker Cross Country Race In Walnut California

This was the race we were going to see Millika run. Footlocker Cross Country Race in Walnut California! Last year she did great at this race would she be able to beat her score?

She did beat her time from last year. She ran in 20 min 1 sec for the 3 miles. She took 14th out of 234 girls.

 Beautiful girl and an AWESOME runner!!

And the family is there to support her as always!!! Great to have Mormor and Morfar there with us!

Las Vegas here we come!!!

So we went from BEAUTIFUL nature to a HUGE city Las Vegas. Not that it is BIG in size but it is BIG in life :o)

 

I thought I said we were going to Las Vegas but are we in France ? ;o) Nope this is Vegas for you!

 

 Look at this Christmas tree. It has Birdie's on it. YES we did get one for Mika!!

   Fun and Beautiful in it own way!!

 World's BIGGEST Chocolate fountain. It looked so GOOD :o)

 Look at that ceiling. Morfar and I agreed that we would not walk under it. What if they fell down :o)

And the most BEAUTIFUL water show at the Bellagio Hotel. It is a must see in Vegas.

Zion National Park

Next stop was Zion National Park. Just as beautiful as Bryce Canyon but in a different way. Zion is MANY times bigger than Bryce Canyon and Majestic in a wonderful way.

Tough nature here in Zion's.

 Beautiful and SO HUGE. I love it!!

 Look what we saw... Can you see them.... They are mountain goats. We saw a whole bunch of them and very close to the road.

Bryce Canyon and Zion National parks

We went on a road trip down through Utah, Las Vegas and to California to see Millika race. Our first stop was Bryce Canyon national park.

 One of the MANY fun places to see in the park but it is so hard to get it in pictures.

Turkey Trot at Bountiful Reg center

Millika and Haley ran at the turkey trot this year together for fun. It was a 5 KM race and that is nothing for these ladies :o)

Millika took first in her age group 15-18 year old girl and had a great race. Mormor and Morfar were here to see her run. AWESOME to have them here!!

 

At the end of the race. She had it going for sure!!

Haley took 3rd in the group and Millika first! They won pies, lucky for us Millika shared :o)

 

And here is the turkey we had for dinner :o)

 Mormor helping as always in the kitchen. Wonderful to have them here for Thanksgiving!

Millika in the Finals for Student Scholar Athlete of the year with KUTV

As some of you might already know Millika was Scholar Athlete of the Week with "Talking Sports" on Channel 2 KUTV. Well she made it into the finals and she had to send in a video with the reason why she is the one that deserves the $5000 scholarship. Here is the video that we made and the wait begins to see if she can win. But that she even made it to the finals is just AWESOME. Way to Millika!!

Viking Clash Debate Tournament at Viewmont High School

McKay went to yet another Debate tournament and he rocked the house at this one. His partner Sarah and him did a great job at this one too.

 

YES... they took 1st. They are are great team together!!
