South End Championship Track Meet, May 13th 2011

Millika went to the South End Championship Track Meet at Davis High School and she had a wonderful time. She ran the Mile (1600 Meter) and the 800 Meter race again. She had a dream the night before where she saw how to run the race. It helped her a lot.

Ready for the race! Millika is so ready for the two runs!

Morfar is watching Mille run and he is very focused on her :o)

Here she is running the Mile and she took the lead from the start! (Video on her page)

She did so great. She ran the 1600 meter in 6 min 10 sec. She beat her own score by 17 seconds! Way to go Mille :o) AWESOME first track season ever!!

They are HERE :o)

YEP.... my parents arrived safe from Denmark and we are loving having them here! What a joy to be with family :o)!
Waiting for Mormor and Morfar to come!

Mille is still the FIRST to run to them:o)

Still looking great!! We love them so MUCH!!

Mormor and the girls!! Great picture!!

What a treat it is to have them here once again. 3 times in 18 months that is wonderful. Of course we would take them on a daily bases:o)

A real life Miracle happened to us!

Yep.... it is true we have had a miracle in our lives just yesterday!! Lincoln has been working really hard with the start up Addiction Recovery Business and it has just taken longer than we hoped to make a pay check! Well because of this we have gotten behind on our house mortgage, not a good thing. We have also applied for a House Modification Loan  but really thought that we would NOT get it!!

But guess what....... We got a letter from our bank yesterday that said we got the loan :o)!!!! Our payment will be 1/2 of what it is now!! We can hardly believe it!

And Mormor and Morfar are helping us with the payments for the next many months until Lincoln can get a good steady paycheck again!! Wow... miracles and blessings really do happen in real life we feel so grateful :o) THANK YOU!!!!  Mor og Far for being such AWESOME Parents and Grandparents!!

We are NOT moving!! We love where we live and now we can stay for good:o)

Millika is going to South End Championship in Track!

Millika competed at her 3rd Track Meet yesterday at Woods Cross High School in two track events. She ran the Mile and the 800 meter and she did a wonderful job both times!

This Meet was the 3rd qualifying chance to go onto the South End Championship where all the schools from the south end of Davis County will meet. This was also the Meet where 1/2 the Track Teams from all the schools would get sifted off and not go. So Millika was a little nervous because she wanted to go on to the South End Championship really bad.

Well she did really well. She ran the Mile(1600 m) in 6 minutes 28 seconds and the 800 meter in 2 minutes 54 seconds. And YES that did qualify her to go onto the South End Championship on Friday next week at Davis High School :o)

And one of the best parts about this is that Mormor and Morfar will be with us in Utah and will be able to come and see Millika compete and cheer her on! It can only be a great Meet next week:o)

Here she is running the Mile. What a great form and long stride!

Millika was so HAPPY when she found out that she is going to the South End Championship. Way to go Mille !! We love to come and see you run and see you use the talents you have been given. Thanks for being our daughter and youngest child. You are awesome and we LOVE you!!

Mika made her Senior Year Blanket with the Young Women of our Ward

Every year in the Young Women's program at our church we will have an evening where all the Senior girls that are graduation from High School will bring material and tie a quilt. This year it was Mika's turn and she of course had chosen a cute purple fabric. Brenda our former YW president had gone with Mika and gotten her the things for the quilt. What a sweet thing to do :o)

McKay is going to take Pre-Calculus Math in the summer!

When you see this picture it might be hard to believe but it really is true. McKay came home the other day and told me that he is going to take Pre-Calculus (Math) for 7 weeks this summer. It is 3 days a week from 8 AM to 3 PM.

I was chocked at first but very proud of him at the same time. He is doing it with a friend from school and they will leave at 7:15 AM and be home by 3:45 PM those days because they have to drive to a different high school father away.

WHY..... is he doing it. He is doing it so he can take AP Physics (college class) next school year. And so he will be at the same level of math as Milllika will be in 11th grade, sibling competition is always there :o) He will still have to take math in 11th grade this just gives him a chance to take a higher level!

I am grateful for kids that are willing to go the extra mile and get a good education. And like I said before I was a little surprised that McKay wanted to spend 7 weeks of summer going to school of his own FREE will :o) Way to go McKay!

Yard Work Job has started for McKay and Mom!

McKay and I worked together last year at a neighbors yard and we got the job again this year. I love yard work it is like therapy for me. But what I like even more is the time I get to spend with McKay!

McKay was blessed this year because he was offered to mow and edge the lawn on top of the other yard work. He had wanted to do that for a while and this year he got it. Good hard work gives you blessings and he does have a nice fat bank account too :o)

Here is the front of the house where we are doing the yard work. I am in the picture working hard:o)
